Confrontation
Today we went sledging for the first time. There’s a hill in a park near us that does the trick very nicely. We started off on the shallow side of the hill, and moved on to the icy black run for a final go each. Both kids enjoyed it, though Lauren was rather hesitant about the steeper side.
In other news, on our way back Sam decided he wanted to go to the airport. We told him that we were going home, and he said “I doan wanoo!” Lauren translated to “Sam said I don’t want to”. I replied that I wondered where he could possibly have got that from, and Lauren proudly said “He got it from me!”
One other proof of Sam’s growing independence. I was sat on the floor and had just told him off for something. He backed away at me, looked at me like he couldn’t even imagine a torture equal to my impertinence, then worked one it. He stomped over to me, leaned forward very deliberately and wiped his nose on my shoulder. There was a lot of “bite me” eye contact involved as well.
