Bugs and bangles

Lauren was wearing a piece of paper taped to each ear when I got home last night. Apparently they were earrings.

Later, Sam rushed in from the kitchen to tell us that there was an ant on the floor. I told him to squish it, to which he replied “What?” I told him to tread on it. He stared at me for a while then quietly said “No”. Then he came for a hug.

Speaking of which, he likes to give Claire and me hugs. I can’t remember right now the exact phrase he uses, but I think it’s “Can I have a hug to you?” We always say yes.
