Parent’s Evening

We went to our first full parent’s evening at Lauren’s school today. She’s doing great at pretty much everything, with a consistent constructive criticism (alliteration rules!) that she could be a little more involved in class level discussions; she’s great on her own and in groups, but tends not to push herself forward enough when it’s the whole class. It’s a fair point, we think, though given the choice between being too ‘forward’ or not forward enough we all know what we’d prefer.

I know this will sound cliched, but at least 3 of her teachers looked like they might still be at school. When we first walked in I couldn’t work out why one of the pupils appeared to be sitting next to a teacher; turned out it was two teachers.

Seriously, 14 years old, tops.
