Yosemite

So, some SF stories…

Lauren was very concerned as we wandered around Yosemite, because some of the trees were broken. We told her that, while we couldn’t fix the broken ones, lots more would grow so it was OK. She wasn’t totally convinced.

We went on the famous cable cars a few times. Sam kind of enjoyed it, though he enjoys most things really. Lauren had a great time the first time, and when we went to get postcards they all had to be the same one, with the cable car on it.

We went to a number of quite impressive galleries. Lauren particularly appreciated them for the open spaces they provided in which to run around.

Lauren hated the ocean. On our last day we went to the beach underneath the clouds that often shade the city. We were stood looking at the pounding surf and Lauren kept trying to get us to leave, saying “I doan like tha”. So we watched it for a bit, then went for an ice cream. She liked tha.

At one point Lauren was asleep in the side-by-side stroller we had borrowed, and Sam reached over and held her hand for a while.
