PTA

This morning we met with Lauren’s teachers to see how she’s doing. They’re very pleased with her progress. Generally she’s exactly where she needs to be. She’s a little more focussed than expected for her age, so she’ll sit down and work on something like a slightly older child. She also seems to be getting ready to read/write a shade ahead of schedule, and we’ll be doing something to help with that.

They also talked about Ceolla, who is her best friend (and incidentally another foreigner, from Ireland). The two of them spend a little more time than the teachers might like huddled together in a corner, but on the other hand they seem to help and push each other on when doing structured tasks, so it works out fine.
