Immunity

I was off work last Friday as Sam had developed Pink Eye (or conjunctivitis). Claire got some antibiotic eye drops for him, and he was an absolute angel at taking them. Everything seems to have cleared up now, and Lauren was spared having carefully followed our instructions not to touch Sam’s head. They also have a bout of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease at school, which I’ve never heard of, but both kids seem OK so far.

We continue to wrestle with Lauren’s discipline. She is a puzzle; at times she can be the sweetest thing, helping out, telling stories, or looking after Sam. But in the blink of an eye some line will be crossed and she’ll start wailing about some trivial non-issue, or giving us a sly look as she does something she knows she shouldn’t. I doubt this is unusual of course, but it doesn’t make it any more fun.
