Talking

Latest reports state the the kids are still doing well. They went to the seaside last week, and apparently had a great time. Lauren liked all of it, but Sam didn’t care for the sea bit; as Claire lowered him into the water his legs would rise up away from it. But he liked paddling in the small pools that form.

Lauren wants to speak to me on the phone a lot, but still doesn’t understand what I say and has to check with Claire. But she did tell me that she loved me, so I don’t mind. Sam also likes to talk to me on the phone, but in his case that consists of listening to me say hello and then laughing a lot. Apparently he’s decided it’s time to start speaking, so is working on his vocabulary. They went to a duck pond, where Sam quacked repeatedly.
