Holidazzle

We went to see the Snow White display in Marshall Fields (department store) and the Holidazzle parade. Snow White was pretty good, certainly giving Sam’s jaw plenty of opportunity to hang open. But the highlight was definitely the parade. It happens after dark, and consists of several floats and costumed people wandering up the main street in downtown. Here’s a sample image to give you the idea. Lauren’s favorites were the lightbulbs and Santa. The lightbulbs are people dressed up as christmas lights, which sounds funny but the costumes restrict the movement of their upper legs, so they have to walk from the knees down. And that, as you know, is always funny. We think they were her favourite because they were Mummy’s favourite. And Santa was her other favourite (she has a lot of favourite things) because he’s Santa, and brings pressies. So we waved extra hard for him.
