Quick round-up now that the family is back (safely):

Sam had a routine checkup today. He is about average for weight, and 75th percentile for height (i.e. taller than 3 out of 4 kids his age). Everything seems just fine, except for the eczema that won’t quite go away. We’ve worked out that part of it seems to be from the brand of diapers we use, so we’re changing that.

Lauren had an eye appointment, and has a new prescription (a new one every 6 months could get kind of spendy). Her better eye has improved a little, and the less good one is about the same. We’re also upping the amount of time she spends wearing a patch, so today she took a pair of sunglasses and a patch into school so that the other kids could try it. They seemed to think it was OK, so she’ll be using it for some time there each day.
