Lauren & Sam

It’s not all caviar and baby wipes, mate

Stress Test

Lauren’s passport expires soon, so we needed a new passport photo for her (the old one was taken when she was 6 months old, so isn’t really suitable any more). The basic process is to stand in front of a screen for 5 seconds while the lady takes a digital picture, wait a few minutes for it to print, then leave. Simple, right?

Not so much. It took around half an hour, because Lauren desperately didn’t want her picture taking and cried incessantly. I know this will shock some of you to the core, but eventually we made her stand in front of the screen while the photographer ruthlessly collected some of the photons reflecting off her to form a digital image. I know, it seems harsh, but sometimes you have to do these things.

Note for the future: As a wise man once said, the sins of the child will be visited on that child when she is a parent and her father has come along just to see what happens. Or something like that.
