Cole

We have a visitor for the next couple of days; Cole is a classmate of Lauren’s, and as its Spring Break we’re doing some babysitting while his parents are at work.  And by ‘we’ I of course mean Claire.

On his first day with us (beginning at 7am, a fact that caused Claire some considerable distress, especially as the clocks just went forward this weekend) he has both proposed to Lauren and upset her for playing boy’s games with Sam rather than playing tea party with her.  On the upside he did inspire her to Montessori-like levels of politeness: “Excuse me Cole but it is this way” (said, according to Claire, “in the sweetest way I have ever heard”).
