School

Sam went to school for a while today to try it out.  The initial idea was that he just stay for half an hour with Claire hovering in the background, but he seemed to settle in well enough that the teacher suggested he stay for a while longer.  Claire suggested this to him, which invoked a hint of trembling in the lower lip, but her “And maybe have a snack?” swiftly sealed the deal, as indicated by Sam’s response of “Bye!”

Next week he goes back for a longer stretch, 9:30 to 12, before he starts for real on the 4th.  Lauren starts at the same time, or rather the same date; she goes from 9-3:15 (we think – better check that) while Sam is 8-1.  Handy.
