Accents
Lauren’s accent is pretty much fixed as typical Pompey now. It’s not quite the same as a Lahndan accent, but it’s close enough that mentally saying “innit?” at the end of every sentence will soon have you doing a pretty good impression.
Sam’s is still in flux, but is very influenced by his primary carer at pre-school. She’s what I’ve heard described as a Hampshire Hog in the nice sense of someone who was born and bred here, and hence has an accent that could easily be mistaken for Darset or even Zummerzet. So to do an impression of Sam, start off by saying “Oive got foive roight” a few times and you’re set.
