More Playing

Lauren and Sam are at a friend’s house today – school is off and we’re both working – though Lauren was tempted to stay home.  Turns out that might have been a good idea, as she’s had a couple of her friends call to see if she’s playing.  Even though I still feel some hesitation about that, I’m also really disappointed that she’s missing out.  One day I’m sure she’ll understand for herself how things that seem important to kids but not to adults are actually important to me too.
