School Report

We went to see both the kids’ teachers last night. Both are doing well, Lauren especially is apparently a pleasure to have in the classroom. Sam is doing well too (his teacher taught Lauren, and if he gets down on himself she can tell him that he’s doing just as well as his sister), though he needs to curb his slacker tendencies; if asked to write a story he will write the shortest, adjective-free story he can come up with. We know he’s imaginative (more so than Lauren, judging by the playing he does), so we just need to encourage him to do the work. This will be a case of doing as I say, not as I do, unfortunately; as I’ve mentioned before, I was the same at his age.
